Little Falls Youth Wrestling held a clinic at the high school on Sunday afternoon. Over 100 children from all around the region attended the event, learning different holds and moves, and then getting a chance to practice them with children their own age.

According to Coach Marc Verri, “I was so happy with today’s event. The kids got a great workout, learned and got a ton of wrestling time with kids that they don’t normally see on the mat.  It was a low-pressure situation as far as youth wrestling goes. The kids had fun. Coaches from all over lent a hand as well.”

“We had so many parents donate goods and time. The varsity and modified wrestlers and coaches helped out. It makes me feel good to see a real wrestling community forming in Little Falls. Without all their help it would have been impossible to run,” he said.

Wrestlers from Little Falls, Frankfort, Dolgeville, Herkimer, Holland patent, Cobleskill, Liverpool, Adirondack, Extreme Wrestling, New Hartford, Canastota, VVS,  and Poland were all present at the event.

Verri said, “I want to give a big thank you to all who attended.”
