Public Hearing Scheduled. A public hearing shall be held on August 5, 2025, at 6:30 PM, at City Hall Council Chambers, 659 E. Main Street, Little Falls, NY to consider amendments to the City Codes related to property maintenance standards and enforcement.

            Scope of Amendments. The proposed amendments shall address, but not be limited to, regulations concerning:

1.        The proper disposal and management of garbage, litter, and rubbish to prevent accumulation on properties;

2.        The control of excessive natural growth, including weeds, grass, and other vegetation, to maintain aesthetic and safety standards;

3.        The storage or removal of inoperable or abandoned vehicles to prevent blight and Hazard;

4.        The maintenance of steps, walks, driveways, and parking lots to ensure safe and accessible conditions;

5.        Other Related Provisions promote consistent and enforceable property maintenance standards.

Public Notice. The City Clerk is directed to provide notice of the public hearing in accordance with New York Municipal Home Rule Law, Section 20, including publication in the Times Telegram and the Daily Post, on the City’s official website, and at the City Clerk’s Office at least 10 days prior to the hearing.

IV.       Availability of Proposed Amendments. Copies of the proposed amendments to the City Codes shall be made available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s office and on the City’s official website no later than July 22, 2025.

V.        Public Participation. All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and provide oral or written comments on the proposed amendments. Written comments may also be submitted to the City Clerk at 659 E. Main Street no later than 3:00 PM on July 31, 2025.

VI.       Effective Date. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.

VII.      Supersedes Previous Agreements. This Resolution hereby repeals and replaces any and all previous resolutions, or parts thereof, concerning Little Falls City Codes related to Property Maintenance.
