Little Falls, NY – The Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts (MVCA) is thrilled to invite the public to join us for Paint the Path, a vibrant community art project that will transform the sidewalk outside our Center at Canal Place into a colorful, collaborative mural.
The event will begin on Friday, July 11, at 3:00 PM outside MVCA at 410 Canal Place. Community members of all ages are welcome to join in this hands-on art-making experience under the guidance of artist Angela DeCarlis. If needed, painting will continue on Saturday, and rain dates will be announced in case of inclement weather.
This project is generously funded through a grant from the Dale Memorial Trust, with heartfelt thanks to Bank of America, Co-Trustee, Joy Malone, local Co-Trustee, and members Mary Celebi DeLuca, Joann Dickson, Peggy Scarano, and Cathy Hysack Cristman for their unwavering support of the arts in our region.
“This project is more than a mural,” says Mary Ellen McGillan, Executive Director at MVCA. “It’s about making art accessible, encouraging community expression, and inviting people to quite literally leave their mark at the heart of Little Falls.”
Participants will be guided by the artist and MVCA volunteers as they help fill in a mural design that reflects the energy, beauty, and creativity of the Mohawk Valley. The sidewalk will be professionally sealed, preserving the artwork for the community to enjoy throughout the festival season.
