PHILADELPHIA, N.Y. — The ninth-seeded Central Valley Thunder Girls Soccer Team lost to the #8 Indian River Wolves on Tuesday night in a first-round Section III, Class A playoff matchup.
With the loss, CVA’s season comes to an end. They finish with a record of 9-7-1.
The Wolves took a 2-0 lead into halftime, before freshman forward Brynlee Metott scored her 11th goal of the season in the second half (there were no assists). That would be all the Thunder would get, however, as Indian River held on for the win.
Two goalkeepers saw action for CVA as sophomore Brynna Scalise made seven saves, and fellow sophomore Leah Brown stopped two shots.
