ORISKANY, N.Y. — The Herkimer Magicians defeated the Oriskany Skyhawks 4-1 on Wednesday to earn their sixth win of the season, sending their record above .500 at 6-5.
Herkimer led 3-0 at halftime and didn’t look back. Kiara Jones had a goal and three assists, while Leah Bray (two goals) and Katelyn Carney (one goal) also found the back of the net. Carney also registered an assist.
Magician’s goalkeeper Isabella Scalise made five saves to pick up the win.
Ashley Zyskowski scored the Skyhawks’ lone goal, with Angela Ajiataz drawing the assist. Oriskany goalkeeper Remedy Wilson made 15 saves.
Up next for the Magicians is a road game at Mt Markham on Friday night.
