Late Fall Swim Lessons to begin November 2025

The next session of Swim Lessons will begin at the Little Falls Youth and Family Center on November 4, 2025, and November 6, 2025.

Classes will be offered for Toddlers/Pre-School, along with American Red Cross Levels I-V.

Each class meets once a week, for a 3-week session, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Instruction is offered for all ages and skill levels, from infants and toddlers to Red Cross Levels 1through 5.

Infant and toddler lessons will provide water adaptation skills and socialization opportunities for children ages six months and up. An adult must accompany all children in the water for the infant and toddler.

Levels 1 and 2 students will be taught elementary aquatic skills, which they will build on as they progress through the Learn to Swim levels. Students will also strive to achieve success with fundamental skills and mark the beginning of true locomotion skills.

Levels 3, 4, and 5 will learn to demonstrate stroke development, improvement, and refine strokes so students swim with more ease, efficiency, and power.

American Red Cross Levels 1 through 5 instruction provides a progressive program for those ages five and up that ranges from inexperienced non-swimmers through advanced skills. The program is designed to be progressive, with level advancement occurring only with the acquisition of skills. Students do not automatically advance at the end of a session.

The Little Falls Youth and Family Center Aquatics Director and Certified Water Safety Instructor, Lisa Sarto, will instruct lessons.

Class sizes are limited, and pre-registration is required. Previous session participants are not automatically enrolled and must re-register.

The Little Falls Youth and Family Center is a member agency of the Greater Little Falls Community Chest, which serves agencies in Little Falls, Dolgeville, and neighboring communities.

Pre-registration is required.  Classes run year-round, and space is limited due to small class size.
