Many Little Falls residents know who Nathaniel Benton and Homer P. Snyder were, but who were Enoch Moore, Cecelia Johnson, Seth Richmond, Peewash, and Arnold Kenyon Bushnell, and how did each of these individuals impact Little Falls history? What do gravestones with shrouded urns, weeping angels, lambs, flowers, and tree stumps represent? What interesting life stories are hidden away in Little Falls’ main cemetery?
Many of these questions will be answered during the Little Falls Historical Society’s Tuesday, August 8 walking tour of Church Street Cemetery. Those interested in attending this event should assemble at the caretaker’s cabin near the West Monroe Street and Arthur Street intersection around 6:15 PM; the tour will begin at 6:30. The rain date is Thursday evening at 6:30 PM.
This walking tour is about one-half mile in length over generally flat, grassy roadways. There are no restrooms on-site.
Little Falls has a number of sites of interest for tours. The robust history of my hometown is yet to be released!
