The Little Falls Elks Lodge #42 held a successful estate sale on Friday and Saturday, as well as making their chicken BBQ and ribs available on Saturday.

According to Exalted Ruler Mark Regan, the idea came from Katrina Talbot, who said, “Why don’t we sell some of the surplus stuff that we have? Plates, dinner sets, chairs, and things like that, and use the funds to renovate the second floor so that it’s more kid-friendly.”

“She was the single point of contact for that and put the ball in motion by contacting the Valley Girls. Over several months, they organized it, and we evaluated the stuff for sale, or not, and picked the last weekend in April while deciding to have the chicken BBQ on Saturday because we’d have a lot of traffic,” he said.

“It went really well. We had a lot of attendance on day one. On day 2, it trickled down. The chicken BBQ was successful. The rain limited our total sales, but we still came out on top,” Regan stated.
