Today we reach the end of Ordinary Time. Advent and the beginning of a new liturgical year begin next weekend. Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, is always celebrated at the final weekend of the year. Jesus rules the kingdom of God, which is unlike any other kingdom that mankind has ever known. Where earthly kingdoms are about power, Jesus is about humility. Where earthly kingdoms are about wealth, Jesus says blessed are the poor. Where earthly kingdoms are about the king being served, Jesus tells us that he came to serve, not to be served. This is truly a kingdom, unlike any kingdom know. to mankind. Jesus is unlike any king that has ever been seen before or since.
A Thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 27, at 4:00 at St. Joseph’s Church. Our celebrant for this Mass will be Fr. Michael Jablonski. Please welcome Fr. Mike.
