On Tuesday morning, June 14th the Little Falls Middle School held its twenty-third Breakfast of Champions at the Harts Hill Inn in Whitesboro. The Breakfast of Champions honors the students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades who were on the Merit, Honor, and Scholar Rolls for the first, second, and third marking periods for the 2021-22 school year. According to the school district, a student must maintain an 85.45 average or above to qualify for Breakfast of Champions.

133 students and their guests were in attendance at the event. Little Falls Middle School Principal Maria Lindsey pointed out that is the first time in two years the school was able to have an in-person Breakfast of Champions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, the school held a “grab and go” breakfast to keep everyone socially distanced and maintain safety standards.

Along with breakfast, the students received a medal and certificate marking their achievement. Eighth graders who made the Breakfast of Champions for each year of their Middle School career were given special recognition.
