The final concert of the Library’s summer music series was held Wednesday night in Eastern Park.

Joan Carrig, who wrote the grant for the concerts, stated, “We had a wonderful season, and we’re really grateful for the support of the Central New York Arts Council and the City of Little Falls. This is an opportunity to revive a great Little Falls summer tradition.”

“We got to feature performances by local artists, and it was a really fun event, and I hope to continue it,” she said.

Library Director Julia Yardley said, “I enjoyed the concert series. I think it’s a good bridge between the library and the community. There were a lot of diverse groups and bands and I think, given the weather, Joan was able to help us coordinate it pretty well and it turned out excellent. I think we did a really good job with it.”

The CNY Arts Regrant program made the concert possible thanks to a New York Senate Initiative supported by the NYS Legislature, the Office of the Governor, and administered by the New York State Council on the Arts.

A fall concert featuring the Brick 2 Theater Company will be held at the Library on September 20th from 6 to 8 p.m.
