I’d like to thank the readers who donated to the Avon Veterans’ Afghan Translator Project.
To date, over $20,000 has been raised to ensure that an Afghan translator and his family relocated to Avon will have a place to live, help in adjusting to a new culture, and provide educational opportunities for the entire family.
In a recent article (Our Turn), you made my words prophetic, given their sacrifices for our troops. It was our turn to serve them.
