The Little Falls Public Library, with funding from the Central New York Arts Council, will offer a four-day En Plein Air workshop for adults, instructed by local artist Deborah Kaufman. The program will be held August 15th-18th, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon.
Ms. Kaufman’s landscape artistry is inspired by contemporary and 19th-century impressionist artists, as well as by summers spent at her grandparents’ camp in Spruce Lake, and beautifully captures the vibrant colors, moods, and lighting of the Adirondack and Mohawk Valley regions.
The intensive four-day workshop will allow participants the opportunity to develop and/or enhance their skills in landscape painting through Ms. Kaufman’s guided instruction in tools and techniques.
All materials will be provided, though participants may want to bring a small tray table and camping chair. The workshop is free of charge and made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by CNY Arts.
Participation is limited, and pre-registration is required. To register, or to obtain further information, contact the library at 10 Waverly Place, Little Falls, (315) 823-1542.
